Which Client for 5297?

L2J Revision 5297:
L2JDP Revision Number:

Using nightly version=5297 and original Hi5 client from 2011 feb 11.

I get passed login, but can't connect to gameserver. No errors or logs indicate why. I press eg Bartz hit connect and nothing happens.

I previously had the server running fine with a different version and nothing has changed aside the L2J server and DP. All ports are opened for testing and nothing else seems to be the problem.

So does anyone know which Client version that L2J server pack is for?

Thx.

Check server.properties there there is a line for client's

# Numbers of protocol revisions that server allows to connect.
# Delimiter is ;
# WARNING: <u><b><font color="red">Changing the protocol revision may result in incompatible communication and many errors in game!</font></b></u>
# Default: 267;268;271;273
AllowedProtocolRevisions = 267;268;271;273

if that helps.

No, not really because googling those protocols doesn't tell you which version of Hi5. I presume that those four protocols represent 4 different patches of Hi5.

Anyway, when I did the upgrade I forgot/could be bothered doing the versioning for the config files. As a result I had to change the settings in the ipconfig.xml for the game server. I keep forgetting that setting ever since it moved to xml.

Thanks just the same.

create txt file.
inside write just one line:
L2.bin -L2ProtocolVersion
rename it to protocol.bat (yes, change file extension)
Put it to your system folder.
Run it.
You will see your client protocol version.
Then you can add that protocol to server settings.
If you get all inventory and skills messed up with that client, it means client is wrong for that server and you need another one.
And just to be clear - I managed connect to H5 build with GoD client after editing allowable protocols. So if you can't connect anyway, problem is somewhere else, not protocol version.

Seems I am running the wrong version, after updating its showing the revision number as 411. If all I have to do is replace my systemm folder, could someone PM me the correct version?

why would you update? update gets you to GoD client, which is not supported. download clean H5 client and you'll be fine. I use http://1337x.org/torrent/164022/Lineage ... ve-Client/ this one, revision 267.

well if you deleted l2.bin and use l2.exe, that might be the problem. either restore original bin file either change command lane to l2.exe.
