Where to start.. I've managed to set up server - Freya, on linux ubuntu 10 with mysql 5.1.49-1ubuntu8.1 (Ubuntu) which runs without any errors - at least both error.log say nothing, and mysql log also doesn't report any. One of problems is that, server for no reason - there's really few people online, freezes for 1 minute. During that so called lag you aren't able to move/talk/anything as whole server freezes. Server box through ssh starts at that moment lagging much, also for 1 minute, server webpage is normally working and refreshing as everything is running smoothly. During that I've also tried to connect to mysql from remote host, worked without any lag. CPU usage during that time seems fine, less than 10 % usage (unless 'top' lies), bandwith seems fine (unless 'iftop') lies. This happens every few hours - 5-6 hours apart, sometimes less.
hardware spec :
Intel® Core™ i7-920 Quadcore
8 GB DDR3 RAM

originally set on 1024 both, switched to 2048 to see if there's gon be any improvement, but unfortunately not.
My question follows : what's wrong ? where to seek the problem ? I can't blame buffers because it has been doing this since the installation. ANY(cept 'lol') answers are really appreciated.
That first problem, second is i believe related to. A person who is doing some random taks, out of sudden freezes and can't do anything. He can't see npcs/players and can't move. Only thing he can do is alt-ctrl-del, close the game, and reconnect where he can continue normally. So, i'm guessing there could be some packetloss - altho errors say nothing, or system folder - which i doubt, but is possible.
So. Think deeply, and let me know your replies please
