Problem number is, that my friend is currently hosting the server off his pc right, and he has the game, he's fully updated, he changed l2.bin to l2.exe... but he cannot connect to his own server. Now I tried changing his hosts file to every ip he has, and he still can't connect. Keeps telling him that he input the wrong username and password. I tried several different options to try to get him connected, but no deal. None of the posts on this type of problem helped. The other guy got his to work, but didn't have any of the problems I'm having. Please help. What did I do wrong?

He updated to Freya and now he cant not login.Tresiem573 wrote: he's fully updated
Solution: Use Gracia Epi client or wait for L2j Freya release to update your server.

I'm fully updated too and I can still login to the server.

Test with a third computer, it may be his antivirus/firewall or just windows messed up host file.
