ExternalHost with dyndns

Hi all, since i have a dynamic IP on my connection i have set on my router a dyndns so i dont have to bother myself with configuring the IP all the time, on the server config file i have ExternalHostname = my.dyndns.org (not my real one but its well configured) same goes for the login, now i asked a friend to try to connect to the server with the following lines on the Hosts file:
my.dyndns.org l2authd.lineage2.com
my.dyndns.org l2testauthd.lineage2.com

and he said to me that the game would strait go to the official servers, i tried the same on me work computer and it does the same, any clue on what is going on?

hosts file cannot have a domain pointing to another domain. You must have an IP pointing to a domain.

I spent plenty of time to get this to work, but whenever the IP changed - for whatever reason - while server was up and running, it wouldn't register the change and let people login.

But if you get it running, please let me know!
