Hi guys, i have updated my server that was running fine, and now we have a freeze time when we hit any npc. The soes dont works.
We cannot kill monsters, cast skills, because we get a freeze and is very unplayable.

I have installed a clean server but i get the same problem with my dedicated server, in my own pc it runs fine.

I have updated java, mysql, tested a lot of configs but nothing! :(

Im using windows server 2003 sp2 64 bits

No errors in console, i have installed the hide n seek, and the handy's bloc events, but it run fine on my pc, but not on my dedicated server.

My connection is ok, all working ok. Hardware is ok.

I think that it can be a MySQL config problem

Here is my my.ini:

Code: Select all

Do not set it# too large, though, because competition of the physical memory may# cause paging in the operating system. You should set the combined size# of log files to about 25%-100% of your buffer pool size to avoid# unneeded buffer pool flush activity on log file overwrite. Melerix i have tested it on my house and it works and it dont works in the dedicated server.
Same sql version, same java version, same configs, connection ok, hardware ok.
We have freezes only with a few things, like hitting npcs.
I have tested it with a clean installation (not updating, clean dp) in the dedicated server and i got the same problem.

Before the update all work fine, really im very very frustrated.

I have tested the hardware of the server with everest, i have tested the connection and its ok. I have 13ms of ping with the server and i can move around the world without any delay. But i cant cast/hit other npcs because i get freezed and about 3 seconds i can hit other time. The same with the mobs, and the mobs gets freezed too when hit me.
I have reinstalled the OS, and the problem persists.

First some questions:

1 - Your dedicated server is in the same country where you live.

2 - Your MySQL is the real MySQL, or you are using a pack like WAMP, XAMPP; EASYPHP or related ?

3 - Which versions of Java & MySQL are you using :P

1- Yes, is in my country (si esta en mi pais)
2- I tested both (probe ambas y las dos anduvieron mal, yo siempre use WAMP y siempre anduvo de lujo)
3- Java 6 upd 18,19 and 20. MySQL various version including the latest.

Saludos.

I see, could be a hardware issue then :P

anyway if a dedicated server, please avoid to use WAMP, XAMPP or related packages (due these packages are not optimized to be used in a dedicated server).

do you even host your site on the same pc as gameserver?
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!
