Back in the days when I still ran a server, I think I used somewhere between 100-150GB per 100 users online.

Doubt it has changed much since then (year ago), so your 4TB will be more than enough. You will reach the hardware/software bottleneck before you hit your BW limit.

a good rule of thumb is 2Mbps and 2TB/month for each 500 players online.

WTF? 2 Mbps for 500 players? lol

In normal gaming (PvE) 200 players use ~1.5 Mbps, in Global PvP or Sieges 200 players use ~5 to 9 Mbps

Your math is way off. With 1 Mbps you get about 300 GB of data transfer.

Sorry but you are wrong, in a PvP wich involve 70 players you already use ~5-7 Mbps.

with 700 players online, you will not need more than 150gb bandwith.

edit: I guess if you run a highrate pvp server, your consumption will be higher than when running a lowrate server.

you guys are making this topic more than he asked for, he simply asked if that is enough and the answer is simply Yes stop posting useless crap on how much your server uses. It is all about configuration anyway ;)

well with about 500 online (but not all the time ofc... an average would be 250 maybe?) i got around 1tb of traffic :/ (using hetzner btw). so 4tb should be enough for thousands i guess..
