Login Problems - Resolved
Server Version= 3332
Datapack Version= 6447
Ok, gameserver and login server come up fine it seems. I was getting to the point where I could not log in (wrong account & PW) I changed my Host file and corrected it. Now when I try logging in, it goes through, but says please wait, and then just sits there saying to please wait. Any help would be great!

Re: Some help please
After 38 views and no post I figure that everyone wants you to SEARCH the forum. There are many suggestions given by myself and numerous other admins on this type of issues before. Please do yourself a favor and follow RULE outlined in the quote above. SEARCH.by poltomb on Wed Apr 22, 2009 6:32 pm
It has always been a rule on L2j Core forums and L2j DP forums that you must search before you post a topic asking for help. This has NOT changed. If the answer is well known and there are many threads on the forums regarding that topic, and you post a new thread, it may be deleted with no questions asked.
Please always Search before you post.
Be warned that if your topic its closed without reason its due this

Re: Some help please
I have searcher for hours on this and tried every suggestion I found. I still can't log in. So if you find any of these wonderful places you say this was already discussed, why not be helpful and post them instead of being rude and unhelpful?

Re: Some help please
A little logical thinking and willingness to learn goes a long way.
So you try to login, does it show the list of game servers? If not, then check your IP settings on the server. Firewall settings?
There's multiple points of possible failure and a basic knowledge of networking is required for running a server. Turn on debug mode as well, it can help. So far, we know nothing about your server's setup, the network setup, etc.
There's plenty of guides on the wiki and in the forums along with a recent guide posted containing a connection walkthrough by another member. We don't know what you've tried so far either.

Re: Login Problems
I am making this for an LAN server only. My computer meets all the requirements, everything works great, when I try logging in, it simply says "Please Wait". But upon changing things, I get a new errors on my game server, even though it still starts up...
Can someone please look at the image below and see what errors I maybe made?

AND THERE'S YOUR FAILURE...
Just because it continues to load, doesn't mean jack. Errors are errors and should be resolved.

Ok, and any help on that? I have searched and see nothing about it? Or were you just here to point out the failure?

Re: Login Problems
From my searching, I've found that this is a common problem when programs are trying to use the same port. Has anyone has this problem and know of a way to change it? Thank you.
Ok, I got rid of the error by disabling Telnet on the game server, it was apparently enabled on both the gameserver and login server and was causing problems.
And now I'm back to the "You are currently logging in: Please Wait" screen. I have searched and searched, I cannot find any solutions. Can someone please check this out?

Re: Login Problems
Change at one of the telnet.properties the port or better disable telnet's (Default: EnableTelnet = False) if you don't know anything about telnet and/or port's.Loginserver:
Telnet ... listening on Port 12345
Gameserver:
Telnet ... listening on Port 12345

Ok, I'm slowly getting the hang of this, but I still can't get in. I finally got logged in, and am to the server selection, I see my server, Kain, but I can't get past this now. I'm still looking for info, but in the meantime, if someone knows a fix, please let me know.

Re: Login Problems
You're exactly correct. I changed it, modified my configs and am finally in the game, about to create a new character when...

sigh. I thought I had it finally. I tried disabling gameguard, but that gives me errors as well.

And before anyone links me to this post: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=11429&p=50639&hili ... red#p50639
It no longer seems to work... I get an error right at start up if I use that.

Re: Login Problems - Resolved
Same problem here. The solution by adding 216.107.250.194 to the host file doesn't seems to work anymore. I tried to ping to that IP and result in total packet loss.
