Hi all,

I know there has been several questions about this issue and i did use the search button however i encounter a problem when trying to make the server accessable for the public. I am behind a linksys router which i fowarded the port 2106 to my LAN ip-address. Also on my windows firewall i opened this port. However when going to GRC Shields up and scan that port it stays stealth. When i do the same actions for port 32778 it shows up OPEN! on GRC.

I figured my ISP is blocking that port for some reason.

Is it possible to set the loginserver port to 32778 and still have clients being able to connect to the server? or am i missing something in my settings to make it work on port 2106?

Here is my config settings for the login server.

*note: i had to put a * at LoginserverHostname because as soon as i change this to my WAN ip address i get the Cannot Bind error. Also have tried it with commenting out RouterHostname but still no go.

Code: Select all

ExternalHostname = *WAN IP* InternalHostname = 127.0.0.1 RouterHostname = 192.168.1.1 LoginserverHostname = * LoginserverPort = 2106 LoginHostname = * LoginPort = 9014 IpUpdateTime = 15

You can't set loginserver port to other value without client mod, so this is illegal.

Never mind i finally got it to work. it seemed that i did some sort of setting in my router and after resetting it to the factory defaults it seems to work...
