Can't search for a offline character

Hi everybody. I've been searching it for a while but I get nothing so far.
I'm trying to edit a character, in game, by using //admin command and trying to list the char name. The server is running local and my my client as well.

When I search for offline char, I just get no answer. Nothing happens. No even inside logs.
Is that common? I mean, I just can edit online chars. Is that true?

As far as I know, you can't. At least, not in-game.

In your database however, you can, except I believe it requires a server restart to take effect this way.
