Hello,

since im still a Newbie, i don't want to create a Bugreport until im sure it's realy a software Bug. So i decided to create a topic here and hope there are people who can confirm that behavior:

Today i Updated from Stable (Server version=5937 builddate=29/09/2013 05:00, DP version=9641 builddate=29/09/2013 05:00) to the current Beta Version mentioned a few lines above.


Bug 1: Lootbug
This Bug only seems to happen on magic classes. I tried several times but iam not able to exactly reproduce it. But it happens several times an hour. When the Bug occours, you're not able to loot an item. And you're not able to do several other things like drink a potion or sit down. Only Fix is to go back to character selection and log back in. I had this Bug in the old Version, and its still there in the new one. So iam really sure its a bug.

Bug 2: Mob Walk Animation on Attack missing if a Mob is attacked on maximum Range
This Bug is new. I never had it with the stable version. But its easily reproducable on the Beta Version. It doesn't seem to appear, when a Mob (I tried Killing Formors at Ivory Tower) buffs itself before coming to the player. But if it just starts walking, and is too far away, its position only gets updates when you hit it with an attack. I also tried having a second character in that area. If its near enough, you see the mob walking on that client, but not on the client of the attacker.


If you want to, i can make a Video of both behaviors to show you what i mean.

Bug one is weird i had such report on my live server also it gets fixed if u do /unstuck and ESC.
Bug two is known it looks like it related to last 'hate' related reworks.

thank you for your Answer. If there's any testing i can do, just let me know. Although my server is open for my Friends, i can do Tests or Upgrade it with test fixes if needed.

Heya,

I try to analyse The loot bug to help at least a bit. So today i took my non GM char and played a few hours. Since i now have the /unstuck macro, i could see what happened right after fixing the problem using The Marco.

First i thought The Problem only affects manual actions. But it affects autoloot too. On The other hand it seems that The bug More offen happens when i use after combat skills like "corpse life drain".

If needed i can test specific combinations. And i will continue to analyze it in my own.

I just took a look into trac and saw that Zoey published the Skill/Effects rework. Could it be that it's already fixed with it? Can i help you by upgrading the server and test again?

EDIT:
Seems i found the Loot Bug Bugreport Topic (viewtopic.php?f=77&t=26528). So i link it to make sure we're not overseeing something. The Topic says the same my people say: Human Fighter not having any problems on my server too. My Darkelf Spellhowler is having that problem multiple times per hour.

Melerix wrote in that topic, that he cannot reproduce while playing a kamael. But Kamaels are fighter, so i assume that's the reason why he wasn't able to reproduce it.

More Details of my Testchar:
Female Darkelf Spellhowler Level 46 (problem existed with Dark Mystic and Dark Wizard too.). I tired with and without Newbie/Adventurer Guide Buffs. The Buffs doesn't seem to affect the problem.

Strange sidebehavior:
When you're in Bugstate and try to sit down, the klick on the action is not doing anything, BUT if you try to loot something after you klicked on sit/stand, the character is sitting down. Sometimes its doing both then (loot and right after that sitting down.)

Accidentally this bug happen to me during debug session and i did some digging it appears that my target was null even when it wasn't according to my client :O
Few times i changed my target and it was still null.
When i added debug message the problem disappeared.

I'm not sure that i understood that right:

The Server keeps "forgetting" the target when using magic abilities? And if so, how does that affect other actions like looting, drinking potions and such things? Or does the server forget the target for that other actions?

On the other Hand it seems, that the server remembers too much. Like i said, when in Bugstate you try to sit down it won't work. But when you loot afterwards, the char is sitting down and may loot or not at the same time.

Hey Unafraid,

i did more testing, and perhaps i have something:

When i take care that no errormessages with reuse-timer appear while playing, it seems that the Loot Bug does not happen.

But when i intentionally provoke those message (for example smash the "Corpse Life Drain" button several times per second) the Loot Bug happens really often.

After 2 more hours of testing it seems i can confirm that the Loot Bug not happens when i only use Hurricane, Death Spike or Aura Burn.

But it appears while using "Corpse Life Drain" or "Vampiric Claw". And the Chance of happening raises when i hammer the hotkeys while cooldown is running.

Hey ho,

any news on this two Bugs? I saw Skill and Herb related changes in the bugtracker. And whats with the "Mob is not moving when attacked on max range" Bug?

I'm willing to update to latest beta and test again if wanted :)

The herb related bug should be fixed, we will know for sure after testing.

I haven't checked the second bug.

Hello,

i just updated to:
L2J Server Version: 6307
L2J Datapack Version: 10058

Mobs moving again when attacked (most of the time) and after one hour killing mobs i had no loot bug (will test more this weekend.)


BUT:
I did not get a single herb now. After one hour killing mobs i would assume that at least a few herbs schon have dropped. But nothing? Did i miss a config change or something?


EDIT:
The new Geo System seems to work better. I got much more "cannot see enemy" errors which is a good thing.

Good Morning,

i did some additional testing. When i disable Herb Autoloot, the Herbs seem to work. So the only defect is Herb Autolooting.

Oh and btw, i did not encounter any lootbug today. But i continue testing.

EDIT:
Seems i posted too fast. Sometimes Herbs not working. And even removing the effect of the same herb collected earlier. First Time i encountered this problem was a fight with two Mobs. I started the Fight against a treasure chest and then a Talrik Bugbear cames along.
