Most countries signed, including USA, Japan, Australia and most EU countries (except 5 as i recall). Still not to late, cause ACTA needs to be passed through EU parliament for it to go "live". Still can be canceled.Aikimaniac wrote:You mentioned SOPA which covers USA only...there was no word about ACTA and till now really low number knew about it in EU..and i think there will be really massive protests in EU...just curious which EU countries really signed that shit..afaik, my country didnt till now.. i hope they wont later as well..MELERIX wrote:too late I guess, I told you guys about it 2 weeks ago, also yesterday it was approved by most of the Euro contries.

People protest on the streets in Poland. Government had 44% citizens support. Dropped to below 30% (and going down) in few days, when ACTAgate came out to public.

yes, well... but is more or less the same at the end... SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, TPP, etc.Aikimaniac wrote:You mentioned SOPA which covers USA only...there was no word about ACTA and till now really low number knew about it in EU..and i think there will be really massive protests in EU...just curious which EU countries really signed that shit..afaik, my country didnt till now.. i hope they wont later as well..
I hope all this NWO shit is cancelled or the internet as we know will die, we still have p2p networks as alternative but is not the same, because not all people use it.

Greece signed it as well. >.<
Seriously, haven't they had enough? Can't they just print money and swim in it? Whoever came up and is supporting this should die...

Since they're copyright infringement laws, what effects will they have on L2J?
I mean... emulators are very much borderline with copyright infringement, on a gray line.

Dunno 100%. But from what I've read in ACTA, its so very unprecise, that I think NCZ0ft could easily block/kill L2J if ACTA went to life.

if the censorship (ACTA, HADOPI, PIPA, SOPA, SINDE, TPP, etc) is approved around the world, any "Generic thing" that work as an alterative of the original one, could be illegal.
so yes... this include emulators too, any "generic product".

Now the big question is... where are L2J's website, forum, svn and trac hosted?
Are these countries who signed ACTA? And would it be a good idea to think about relocating?

Re: Stop the ACTA guys!
TO headhunt a country which DID NOT sign the acta is just a pain since like 98% of countries signed it unless you want to have some like random african country. Not to mention it still has to go through the EU-parlament to be official, at least in Europe. Not sure how it is for US, Australia and Asia.theone wrote:Now the big question is... where are L2J's website, forum, svn and trac hosted?
