Re: Linux
I prefer Debian to Red Hat Enterprise, but maybe CentOS (which is based on Red Hat Enterprise) is the best choice in a server. Is the most stable OS for a server...Aggro wrote:Hi again. I am asking your advices. Which linux distro is best for l2j (ubuntu, debian, centos) ? Why ?
Only the LS, in a Samsung Galaxy S (Android 2.2).ThePhoenixBird wrote:Have anyone tried to run L2j on a cellphone?

Re: Linux
No, all distros have the same kernel and all are Linux.Aggro wrote:big diff in commands (terminal) between Debian and CentOS?
The difference into one distro or another distro is basically in what kernel version have and what packages or software have each distro, but all distros work very similar in command line.

Re: Linux
If he chooses Debian, then he should download deb files. Rpm is for Red Hat Linux, but there is a way to convert rpm files to deb by using a program called "alien".MELERIX wrote:repos generally are outdated...
better way is download RPM package from official Java/MySQL website and install manually (double click).
