Ubuntu 64bit Could not reserve enough space for object heap

Post by Kybou »

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 64bit and I am getting a weird error whenever I start the gameserver:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
Whenever I set the -Xmx to 512, everything seems to start normally, however I am not satisfied with this value and would like to reserve more space. Is there any way to do this without having this pesky error?

Cheers.

Thanks for the offer mate, but I already did search and found nothing related to Ubuntu or Linux for that matter.

Not enough available memory.
If you want more then 512MB... well...
if you are on a virtual machine increase it on VM settings, if not you need some extra RAM.
