Re: connect interlude
Yes I tried to change hosts file to testauthd.lineage2.com
Doing this, I can't pass the login section, so the authd.lineage2.com brings me already 1 step further.
About the protocol flag. I dont know how to get that working. Tried to find it out on the internet, without success.

Re: connect interlude
duh...
make a new shortcut, open it's properties and add -L2ProtocolVersion after file extension.
dunno if you're using linux (doubt that), in windows it's
"C:\Program Files\Lineage II\system\L2.exe" -L2ProtocolVersion
this goes in Target field.

Re: connect interlude
Running l2.exe -ProtocolVersion does not make a difference. Server Bartz is visible with 9999 ping but still can not connect.
Sorry to take your time, I have the idea I wont fix the issue

Re: connect interlude
Looks like someone fixed my post, check it again for the correct flag.
If the protocol is wrong then the only way is to get an updated client but, unfortunately for you, I don't know where to get one.
P.S. why does everyone keep apologising? That's what this forum is for, besides it takes me 30 seconds to answer.

Re: connect interlude
On elitepvper I found a post about changing $version in the engine.dll
Now I got a hex edit program and tried to find this $version, but unfortunally couldnt find it. Also L2.exe (or the shortcut L2.exe -L2ProtocolVersion) does not have any $version inside.
Finding the right client will be difficult, since all downloadable clients for interlude are the same.
I might start the whole setup from scratch, see if somewhere I did mistake something. So many things have been changed now.

Re: connect interlude
There's no point in just changing the number, since the packets will still differ, meaning you might have considerable problems ingame with the wrong client. I don't think you made any mistakes.
Also, try the client from here: http://duotm.com/filesduo/
I don't know if they're fully updated but they're all in .rar files, which means they should be different from default installers (default is always .zip). The site is imho trustworthy, so check it out.

Re: connect interlude
Downloading now the .rar file.
The previous files also where .rar files instead of zip, but indeed always a try.
I myself also think all is in order, since I get till server selection screen.
FYI the tutorial to set up the server I got from here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv9pFH8WND4 and all works as shown in the videos 1/1 till 1/3
Tomorrow I will try and install the client again and see if that works
