How can I filter special letters in the name and password textfiled on login (space, $, %, &, etc).

you do that in site, not in server
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.

there is no message that we could use for login to show that the user uses forbidden characters..

I dont know in the latest version but with erlier versions of the server there are issues regarding user names. We are trying to avoid issues between gserver and lserver.
