I would like to know if its worth it to switch, from windows server 2003 to windows server 2008. The proccess wont be easy and it will be $30 extra on my monthly bill.
So the question is, is there any extra performance and better connection if we switch!?
Windows 2003 VS Windows 2008

Re: Windows 2003 VS Windows 2008
Memory consumption is a bit lower, but performance is nearly not changing. So if you don't need any of the new features (like IIS7, etc.) it's not worth the work and the 30$ extra
Just my personal experience.

On the same hardware, you may expect BETTER performances if you switch to Linux... So, if what you are looking for is performances...
Else, better not change anything... You know the big rule : if it work, don't touch it.
