Question regarding triggered skills (by damage/attack)

So the question is the following:

Do these triggers has a chance to trigger if the attacker doesnt do dmg to the target directly? (for example by aoe or bubbles).
I ask because Mirage is also seems too OP, checking it and it seems like it triggers even if you dont target the guy on mirage, but I got no way of currently testing it, so if someone can test on some L2OFF or already knows some info.
