Last I used L2j you could edit npc stats/drops via ingame, is it no longer possible?

Not at the moment.

Only older versions as Freya and the other's can do this in SQL, now in High Five all been moved to XML and it is not possible to do it now due to this change, XML is also easy to modify, use Notepad++

You can edit XMLs from the server, but it's not done.

Ingame editor was removed because data where moved to XML.
The sad part is that the guy that claimed to me that he had it working with XML, never shared it.

I don't see it to be implemented any time soon.

Hopefully one day its brought back, had to edit 2 full XML files 198 NPCS, changing levels and HP, holy crap it took hours. Compared too a simple sql query taking seconds..

you can do xml queries as well, check xpath
