Server running on Windows XP
Hello everyone, I have made a couple of these L2J servers in the past but I am a bit out of practice. I have currently gotten the entire server up and running, however I believe I am using the wrong client to log into it. I am using the latest Nightlies to run the server, and it seems the H5 client is not supported yet.
My issue: Logging in with the H5 client, can log in and make account, but cant 'confirm' selected server to log in. No error. Connecting via Windows 7.
I think the solution is to use the correct client properly patched. I would greatly appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction for this.
Thank you Sirs/Ma'ams,
Chris

Ah, well that is fantastic! But it has been awhile since I have re-compiled Java, and while I can do it I would much prefer if I could get pointed into the direction of a client matching the server/datapack I have.
I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere, but I have earnestly googled and searched these forums and it is rather hard to match which client I should be using with my current sever/datapack combo.

Thank you hope, I followed the instructions in the PM to get a proper client. I seem to still not be able to 'confirm' the server. Here is a screencapture of how far I get, and my server CLI's running:

I'm not sure what the outstanding issue could be. Just to be safe, even though all things are internal, I added the server to the DMZ on my firewall. The issue is still happening. Anyone else have any ideas, looks like I was wrong about the client being the issue.

I was getting similar "error", problem was in ipconfig.xml . Doubt it's host's fault, since it does connect.

I'm having the same issue, trying to troubleshoot!
The only error I'm getting now (first few times it would do nothing), "You have been disconnected..."
Log file only gives me:
[19 May 13:29:23] Wrong protocol, 268, my IP
[19 May 13:35:15] Wrong protocol, 268, my IP
Of course, this means I have the wrong client for the server!
Edit: After installing Freya, I can get on the server, but now after I log in there are no interface buttons. I can't make a character or change options or exit!

I know, I already changed the server because it was impossible to find an updated system folder for 216. There are also no complete install guides telling you that you need to compile it, then extract the compiled zip, then set it up. It really only takes a few minutes to get it all running.
Maybe I should write a correct and complete guide.
