Hello everyone!

My problem is everytime I open LineageII.exe in my main game folder and I input a user/pass it tells me incorrect and will not allow me to connect. Which leads me to believe I'm either no properly connecting to the server on my box or a whole list of other things... so here goes what I've done so far and maybe you can give me a bit of help!

So I've managed to successfully run both the gameserver and loginserver. The only things I added to both server property files was the DB password which is root. I left everything else at default value. Because I'm simplying running server and game on same box (or atleast trying too..)

I did however change the ipconfig.xml

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!-- Put old contents of ExternalHostname here, used by default --><gameserver address="75.186.48.234">    <!-- Localhost access -->    <define subnet="127.0.0.0/8" address="127.0.0.1" />    <!-- LAN's, put old contents of InternalHostname here -->    <define subnet="10.0.0.0/8" address="10.0.0.0" />    <define subnet="172.16.0.0/19" address="172.16.0.0" />    <define subnet="192.168.0.0/16" address="192.168.0.0" /></gameserver>
gameserver address= my ip address.

I did also change my host file:

Code: Select all

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.## This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.## This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one# space.## Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.## For example:##      102.54.94.97     rhino.acme.com          # source server#       38.25.63.10     x.acme.com              # x client host # localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.#   127.0.0.1       localhost#   ::1             localhost #127.0.0.1 l2authd.lineage2.com#127.0.0.1 l2testauthd.lineage2.com
Here is my loginserver.properties as you can see I'm pretty sure just typing in any old user/pass it would auto create an account.

Code: Select all

Last but not least this is a clean install as of Jan 2nd, 2011 (Freya). Not modded or patched. And I didn't see a L2.exe in the system folder in case that was the .exe I was supposed to be using. only a l2.bin, and l2.ini, l2.INT, and a l2.txt

Any and all help is appreciated. I'll be checking this thread and forum quite throughout the day and week hoping for some help!

Thx for your time and effort!
Blaze
