If, for some reason, player get connection dropped or something, his char will remain on the server somehow, for unlimited time. Player will stay like invisible. This can affect oly's as one can harm enemy by just dropping his net connection and then the result will be even for the enemy.

this happens when you unplug network cable.

Sure but should have some shorter timeout no?

i dont think there is a timeout, last time i test on epilogue i stay connected 30min.

There are connection timeout in linux kernel setting. And you cant harm opponent on the oly in this way, only yourself.
