L2JDP Revision 7664:

Hello again all, i usto run 2 servers for this around 2 years ago. become a pro at getting mulit servers up and running. things have changed a bit and it looks like i pic bad time to come back. due to update finding a client that works with current nightly has finaly drove me nuts. i try not to post for help but i need to now b4 i pull all my hair out. lol.

first day i get server up and running but connecting to the server has been a new challenge all together. for 2 days now i download differant clients and keep getting the wrong one. i finaly edit the server to allow every version and bang im in game WOW, but i know its still wrong version due to things not working right.

due to starting in the middle of a update how do i get the right client? and while im asking is the AllowedProtocolRevisions still 146And/or152 ? (146;152 works?)

Thanks for the help Everyone with your old post have found tons of info in serch to get me this far and on my server. now i just need this so i can start helping out again.

l2jserver never supports clean install of a client, except when it's the latest version available.
what ever version you have chosen you need a fully updated client.

I'm experiencing the same problem too. Installed 2 epilogue clients downloaded from different websites but I'm still getting protocol errors.

lol i was tried now i see and feel stupid. but they come out with so many in last few years if you understand how confusiong this can be to jump back into. Final is whats needed here.

anyway i belive thats what i was doing i have that on other system down stairs but havent been able to get win7 to let a outside connection connect to it yet. still playing around with stuff. does anyone else have win7 working with this? did you have to make rules for defender? firewall ? would turning this off temp allow connect without rules?

Binary and source code ZIP archives for the Gracia Final branch have been updated up to revision 3718 for the latest changes made on that branch to stay cast on stone ’til the end of time. So from today and unless otherwise stated, latest unstable nightly builds both for core and datapack will be bound to the GE release. We hope you download, try

looks like i got alot to catch up on still. maybe i just go with stable version no idea what GE release is yet.

-as i heard there was a protocol change in an update done to epilogue client sometime back in november 2009. thus in order to connect to the server properly you need a system folder that has been patched afterwards. google can help you here but ofc you don t know if those sources are trustworthy.. :D there was also a big topic about this update on these boards but i m too lazy to search for you, you go do it. :P
-for win 7 it works perfectly, i guess it s prohibiting you to edit the hosts file or saving a new one with a different extension. try maybe to disable the UAC in system control -> user settings.
