Hello all. I opened my server again after a few months and all of a sudden MY ping is high when i log into it. In the past i have gotten complaints that ping was unusually high, but my ping has always been 1 when i log into my own server. now it is 48, and a friend of mine said they had a ping of 800

While searching the treads i came across someone saying with l2j servers ping is not done. Is this true? and if it is why does it change depending on what server you log into?

Your ping is the time it takes for network packets (game data) to travel between the client and server measured in milliseconds, If the time is high it could be a problem with your local network of the server or client which could be Virus,Ad-ware,modem,router,switch,hub,cable or a problem with your ISP or someone is attacking your server, this is not an L2J problem this is a network problem between you and your ISP or your player's ISP.
