hi i was having some troubles getting my game server working
there are a few posts ive found from searching with the same problem but all the solutions people have tried dont work for me, and the posts are quite old so i thought just remake one.
i was getting an error when my game server loaded of
FATAL: Failed to open server socket. Reason: Cannot assign requested address: bind

ive tried change ports and im not running another game server with the same ports.

loginserver.properties
# Default: 127.0.0.1
ExternalHostname = ***.***.***.***

# Default: 127.0.0.1
InternalHostname = 127.0.0.1

# Bind ip of the LoginServer, use * to bind on all available IPs
# Default: *
LoginserverHostname = 10.1.1.10

# Default: 2106
LoginserverPort = 2106

# The address on which login will listen for GameServers, use * to bind on all available IPs
# Default: *
LoginHostname = 127.0.0.1

# The port on which login will listen for GameServers
# Default: 7777
LoginPort = 7778

The 10.1.1.10 is my current network ip and the ***.***.*** is my actual ip inputted atm

server.properties
# Default: *
ExternalHostname = ***.***.***

# Default: *
InternalHostname = 127.0.0.1

# Where's the Login server this gameserver should connect to
# Default: 127.0.0.1
LoginHost = 127.0.0.1

# TCP port the login server listen to for gameserver connection requests
# Default: 7777
LoginPort = 7778

# Default: *
GameserverHostname =***.***.***

# Default: 7777
GameserverPort = 2106

any ideas?

just leave these 2 default:

Code: Select all

# Bind ip of the LoginServer, use * to bind on all available IPs# Default: *LoginserverHostname = *

Code: Select all

# The address on which login will listen for GameServers, use * to bind on all available IPs# Default: *LoginHostname = *
try to use the default values of the configs..

and why you have the login port switched with gameserver port? (but this shouldn't be a problem..)
loginserver.properties

Code: Select all

# The port on which login will listen for GameServers# Default: 9014LoginPort = 9014
server.properties

Code: Select all

# TCP port the login server listen to for gameserver connection requests# Default: 9014LoginPort = 9014

Code: Select all

# Default: 7777GameserverPort = 7777

Hi, I have the same problem. but I haven't can solve...

I Have a Lynksys WRT54Gv2 (DD-WRT v23 SP2) Router and I forwarded the tipical ports 80, 2106, 7777. ( my Referense This) and I disabled the firewall.

Also I tried test with the last post, but neither.

This is my loginserver.properties

Code: Select all
