was the subclass system intentionally and temporarily axed for this release? If so, anyone know when or in what revision it will be back?

I does not understand your question. Base subclass system still here.

sorry, what I mean is that the Grand Master NPCs does not allow addition, or replacement of subclasses. only changing of subclass is allowed. This started only this week after my weekly core and DP update. Previous versions were fine.
