Same problem on Part 2 and afaik on old L2Emu Part 2. One player has note in small resolution there are no criticals during creating new char :o

Confirmed, if i use a resolution bellow 1024*768 32bit i dont get critical error.

One thing I found that caused critical errors was custom items during char creation. Just a theory but reset your char creation items to default and see if you still crit.

Though it could be something else. Always helps to have the crit error itself posted.

Well i dont use custom items on character creation.

Code: Select all

2009.5.29 23:56:58OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)CPU : GenuineIntel  Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     E8500  @ 3.16GHz @ 3167 MHz 2046MB RAMVideo : NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT   (8585)PosCode : LS1(83) 0:0:0 2/0 [545] Assertion failed: ThisActor->IsValid() [File:.\UnLevAct.cpp] [Line: 356] History: ULevel::DestroyActor <- (FNameError Transient.FNameError) <- UL2ConsoleWnd::ResetSelectCharacterInfo <- NConsoleWnd::ReceiveCharacterInfo <- b <- CharacterSelectionInfoPacket <- UNetworkHandler::Tick <- Function Name=CharacterSelect <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop

Well I didn't think about this. When I'll be at home I'll test it.

Code: Select all

Something is either not being sent, or being sent wrong. Doesn't happen with all creations.

Human - Male - Fighter - Default Hair/Face - Other Characters exist on account? YES, 4 played chars - Crash? YES
History: UL2ConsoleWnd::SelectedCharacterNum <- NConsoleWnd::ReceiveCharacterInfo <- b <- CharacterSelectionInfoPacket <- UNetworkHandler::Tick <- Function Name=CharacterSelect <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
Elf - Male - Fighter - Default Hair/Face - Other Characters exist on account? YES, 5 played chars - Crash? YES
History: ULevel::DestroyActor <- (FNameError Transient.FNameError) <- UL2ConsoleWnd::ResetSelectCharacterInfo <- NConsoleWnd::ReceiveCharacterInfo <- b <- CharacterSelectionInfoPacket <- UNetworkHandler::Tick <- Function Name=CharacterSelect <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
Human - Male - Fighter - Default Hair/Face - Other Characters exist on account? NO - Crash? NO
Elf - Male - Fighter - Default Hair/Face - Other Characters exist on account? YES, 1 unplayed chars - Crash? NO
Human - Male - Fighter - Default Hair/Face - Other Characters exist on account? YES, 2 unplayed chars - Crash? NO

Something is happening when players are sent back to the player selection screen and are pulling data for characters that have been played before. There's either an item equiped or something that's causing the issue.

This is on a server with no custom items, etc.
