Ill be quick. Who's the smartass behind the marvelous idea of changing the projects names ? ( L2J_server/L2_dataPack). And in what way does that help anyone ? Answers are welcome, troll-hunters are not, since its an open source project, and till it becomes private, we are all entitled to criticism and having an opinion.
Yes im trolling ...
but for a reason.

I know it is internet and i know the attitude of some of the high-class people in this forum. But those who wanna call themselves part of the open source project, and give a reason to their rank and title, should consider taking a look at other open source projects ( linux kernel ? ) mailing lists before they come remove my post or take it as a joke.
So yea, im not the kind of person who will come here
to ass-lick the mods/devs to be "good" in their eyes as some other lameasses do to get friendly with them or get ranks, cause that would make me a mere hypocrite. I believe that i respect them more by expressing exactly what i think, and not by conveying methods to make them like me.

Meh, who cares? It's only the SVN, it's not like the switch from net.sf.l2j to com.l2jserver.
There are more important things you could argue about.

Exactly there are more important things to care about. Thats why someone should think a bit before making such a useless and unecessary change. Cause not all of us write by messing up the core. Imaging have 2 extra projects connecting to l2jserver with dependancies then you have to edit classpaths and custom made build files ...
Thats a pain in the ass, just cause some guy though , L2J_Server sounds "better".

edit classpath ? wtf?
for me looks like you don't know how use eclipse, thats why you complain about.
you don't need to edit classplath!
you can resolve this with just few clicks in less than 3 minutes (if you read ofc)

Allow yourself to not get it. Some of us have private projects extending l2j. Changing tha name makes us have to do extra changes. So before you flap your mouth about me not knowing how to use eclipse, bear in mind that the question was why was that change necessary...

simple, we can do everything we want with our project, for example we can delete/close our project if we want

Exactly the attitude somoeone would expect from a dev who when confronted brings out the baby-self to avoid the subject. And no you cant do whatever you want, cause there are many people on the background, be it retail testers, bug reporters, or anything who have contributed to this open source project. And there are also countless members in this forum supporting the project by their reports or even criticism, which isnt always bad. You acting like the guy who does whatever he wants and mocks everyone that begs to differ, totally dissrespects all those people. Grow up.

since L2J is opensource, feel free to change what ever you need. Devs in the past have taken decision about the structure and source code hierarchy and so it is now how it is. Will you blame all those who have worked hard on this open source project due something you have problem with ?

where exactoy did you see me blaming them? all i did was ask a question and im pleased that three devs already replied but none gave a satsifying answer, simply cause it didnt exist, That change was unnecessary and if there is something that honours you is to accept this fact.
good day

good day

1. read one more time...i asked if you will blame them...not that you did..
2. when you wont see any answer there wont be any answer even when 100 devs would answer your question...
3. The person who did the change proly felt that it is necessary so he/she did it...
have nice day too

lol .. wtf . It took me 1 minute to switch to new thing . And i kept all modifications.... why so nervous about that ?

And i am a noob with eclipse and shits. You just need to use brains
And yea , l2j is a open source project and can be closed at anytime by the ppl who work at the project.
But no1 keep you from starting you own project if you like to..
