They even mentioned disabling SVN... Hope dies last, huh?
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.

They will get Freya right now since its the current NA Retail version, but doing a backup now that you can is a good idea.momo61 wrote:Oh great news. Thanks for informing us. I got a question though about one of your ProTips.
Right now they will still get Freya if they use the retail NA client and update it right?Remind your players to DONT use the launcher to run the game, if they update their client they will be not able to log into your server.

About that Zip-file thing. I cant say yet if its good or bad, but if this is what l2j decides, then I guess we'll have to go with it.
would it be a zip-file with a .diff inside it for each revision? Or how would that work in case it were to be implemented?

That idea sucks. Synchronizing your code is out of the question, all updates would be manual, by comparing downloaded and existing source code. That's just WAY too impractical.

Zipped src? Oh noes, so if this idea gets accepted, there will no longer be diff files with comments, poor newbies, how will they learn java? >.<

Diffs via trac have nothing with java learning.
If you want - you will learn. If you dont learn, that means you dont need it.

Really, then how did e learned java? Seeing the code, being said what it should do, making the logic, explaining yourself what does what... etc that helps a lot when learning javaqwerty13 wrote:Diffs via trac have nothing with java learning.
