Terminate button shows me if compilation is running or not.

Last times compilation starts instantly and takes 30s~1min.

You have clean eclipse?

Yes.

How long have you waited?

DP compilation => 2~3min

Core Compilation => 3~5s

Well then I'd say it's Eclipse problem... but datapack compiles fine.
What version of Java do you have? I've heard that jdk1.6.0_21 has some problems with Eclipse 3.6.x and they suggest to revert to jdk1.6.0_20.

well then I guess Eclipse 3.6.1 doesn't go well with jdk1.6.0_18.

no, now you don't need to revert to u20

because that issue is already fixed if you download latest jdk from oracle website, now is a new build of jdk1.6.0_21.

Well that's just what I read on teh internetz. Not that it matters much since the problem of the topic has been resolved.

he said it works now.
if he has a clean setup of latest eclipse, the problem is not in settings, because it works practically OOtB, only few settings need to be changed to be ready to go and that is not one of them, even more so because that setting only appears when you install subclipse plugin.

yes, but remember... before he have jdk1.6.0_18, and that is because he don't read guides properly, or may be he don't know where the guides are

well, I have v20 and everything works for me. v21 before that fix is an example that latest is not always the best.
