I don't like Eclipse, sorry. But I will keep in mind about unused imports.

What IDE do you use? Because I use Eclipse and Netbeans and Netbeans has even more warnings by default than Eclipse, IntelliJ I don't remember now, but maybe you can just enable soemt o be able to have the sources clean as we do with Eclipse.
