One problem solved and another one shows up :(

I run startloginserver everything works I run startGameserver everything works. I may know what my problem is but have no thoughts on how to solve the problem.

When I open the L2 Client's system folder there is no .exe file. The only exe file ther is is in the main L2 folder big brown Icon. I have seen servers with the two icons below in their system folder:
2 L2 icons.gif
I think I nee to make an .exe to put in the L2 client folder so I and others can access the game.

Any suggestions on how I can connect?

I am using 127.0.0.1 as all External and Internal Host Names right now so I can first log in to the client and create my First Char which will become my GM. Also in my host file located at C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc I am using:
127.0.0.1 localhost

127.0.0.1 L2authd.lineage2.com

I will admit this is the furthest I have gotten before thanks to this forum.

There is NO .exe file in the system folder for Lineage II. This was changed some patches ago by NC Soft and there is a way but I will not explain it to you here. If you want to go this route, I suggest doing a search on this forum or with Google. You seem confused on how the client work. Every player that connects to your server is going to need to download the L2 client and install it on his/her PC. There is no .exe file you make that will allow others to connect to your server.

I do not recommend you play from the hosting PC as it may cause unwanted errors or weird in-game issue(s). Playing from the same computer that is hosting the server only if you are testing the server. From your hosts file configuration, it look like you are hosting and plan to play from the same computer. Next, other players will not be able to connect to your server if you are using 127.0.0.1 as your internal IP address. You need to set a real dynamic private IP address for the server so computers on the same LAN can connect. You'll also need to know your WAN IP address, do port forwarding to your server if you want friends outside of your LAN to be able to play with you, etc. Good luck.

Yea I knew I was asking a dumb question, just couldn't put my finger on it until I read your reply, my apology. It's not an .exe file I needed to ask about. I understand that everyone who wants to play on my server will have to download the L2 client and install it on their computer. What I should have asked about is what we call a "Patch" it is a file we download and extract to the Lineage II folder, it is this "Patch" that puts the new icon in the system folder. With this new icon you can create a short cut on your desk top or task bar so you can click it to log in.

Could you or someone direct me to a post where I can learn how to make this "Patch"?

All such "patches" are client mods and illegal. You will be banned for discussions about it here, this is only and last warning.
