Hello, I run a server under linux centos, under the latest revision,
At first I uploaded the server files by hand from my PC to the server, and then started to patch files by hand whenever i wanted something new and good from the timeline.
fact is, it's boring and exhausting me. obviously causes many errors on server side that i need to go through an figure what files i missed during my manual update,
like whenever i need, i just download a new revision using eclipse, and uploading to server, so there is no real workspace on my pc that is similar to my server.
Question is, how can i work on server folder and synchronize from there ? should I donwload the server to my pc and set it as a work space ? or any other method is recommended,
I'd like to get some of your ideas if you're using linux and what are your methods of keeping your server up to date.
I'm always kind of scared of compiling due to changes of config files and such, also i see many times that there are changes on SQL tables, which i'm afraid will screwe up all.
Thanks in advance,
linux complie

Re: linux complie
why you just dont have your workspace on your pc? workspace with your changes and then you only synchronize it with l2j and get changes which you want and get your changes intact.
