Spamhaus ip checking
Hello guys, can you disable it?
The problem is that some users have dynamic ip adresses, and some of them are blacklisted. It suck when you want to post a reply but stupid message about spam appears.

Sorry but we will not, if your ip is banned its because we have spam comming from your country.

Yep confirmed. All german providers that are sharing IPs with T-Online (biggest german provider) are affected too.

Can you at least make a white list for users?ThePhoenixBird wrote:Sorry but we will not, if your ip is banned its because we have spam comming from your country.
It's damn inconvenient to reboot ADSL modem to get another IP and try to post a reply.
BTW you can use some CAPTCHA instead of spamhaus...

Weird thing is that this wasn't always an issue. A few months ago I was posting just fine.ThePhoenixBird wrote:We are looking for another options, like Akismet for Trac, if anyone knows how to implement it, PM me
Can't you just do a simple captcha for posts such as:
"What is (7x3)x2?" and have it throw out random simple math problems like that?
That'll weed out any kids along with the spambots.

Re: Spamhaus ip checking
It looks that for some reason a whole range of German IPs has been blacklisted by Spamhaus, please try to use their IP removal tool.
