How complete are older Chronicles?

Post by mattjanes » Sat Jun 28, 2014 3:46 am

I know the current focus is on Hi5 now, so I'm curious how complete are older chronicle revisions? Like I'm interested in making either a C4/C5 or Interlude server and working on it, but how complete were these before the development stopped to move on to newer chronicles?

I'm more worried about potential Exploits etc that may have still existed and were patched in later revisions of other chronicles.

Half-complete at best. Even H5 is around the same.
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!
Discussion breeds innovation.

Up! I have more or less the same questions..
I'm planning to open a new server (possibly a low rate with very few custom things), and need some help..

This new server should have just a custom NPC seller and maybe some events.
Which chronicle is the most stable and complete and, above all, suitable for custom stuff? I don't like very much H5 so atm I am focusing on Gracia Epilogue or Final, server running on Linux CentOS 6.x.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'd play it safe and download H5 from the STABLE branch if you simply want a server up and running as quick as possible. The STABLE branch is not without its own problems; however, they are much less game breaking than some of the bugs that currently exist on the UNSTABLE branch.
